AYA ProjectWe were thrilled to collaborate with Eric Awuah, former Treasurer of the Orchesis Dance Performance Group, and his talented team of musicians on the Aya Project – Ageing in Dance. Generously supported by a $25,000 grant from the Edmonton Arts Council, this inspiring initiative ran from August through November. During that time, Eric and his team visited three seniors' residences, leading weekly workshops that explored the music and dance traditions of Ghana. The project concluded with public performances showcasing the work created with participants at each location. We wish them continued success in their future endeavors!
