Fundraising 2019/2020

To participate in Dance Motif, dancers must buy a membership. A membership is $105 for students ($120 for non-students). Dancers are expected to do a minimum amount of fundraising via selling Purdy's chocolates bars.

Membership fees entitle each dancer to participate in 1 dance - extra fees will be due when dancing in a 2nd or 3rd piece. You may fundraise for the extra fees by selling more Purdy's chocolates. All extra dance fees and fundraising fees are paid to Orchesis Dance Society via e-transfer (orchesisdancesociety@gmail.com), cash, or cheque (made out to 'Orchesis Dance Society').

Extra Dance Fees (due October 15th):
1 additional dance -> $40
​2 additional dances -> $60
*dancers need approval from Kathy, Director of Orchesis, to participate in 3 pieces

Please note, the membership must be paid through the Activity Registration Zone at U of A. The cost of a 2nd dance ($40) or 3rd dance ($20) must be paid to Orchesis Dance Society by giving cash or cheque to your Choreographer, or through e-transfer.

This year's fundraisers are:

Purdy's Chocolates (mandatory for all dancers)

  • ​Milk chocolates sold for $2 each, 20 per box
  • Dancers must pay for 2 boxes of chocolate bars up front, $80 (raising $40 for Motif 2020 production costs)
  • You'll get your entire $80 back when you sell your chocolates
  • Additional boxes available for $40 per box
  • Money is due November 1st, with boxes available for pick-up at WIPS.

Steeped Tea

Like tea? Orchesis alum Kerri Crozier has set up an online tea party: Orchesis Dance Motif Fundraiser 2019-20. Kerri has generously offered to donate her commission from the party sales.
